Calm, clarity and confidence

Personal coaching for parents seeking balance and people navigating change.

Helping you think clearly, feel steadier and move forward with purpose.

You don’t need to be in crisis to want things to feel better.

Sometimes you just need space to think, breathe and be heard.

I’m Mary

I’m a qualified personal and business coach.

I live in London, although most of my coaching takes place online, so you don’t need to be local to work with me.  Alongside coaching, I have a background in psychology and research and I’m also mother to two neurodivergent teenagers.

I understand how easy it is to put yourself last, feel pulled in many directions and lose sight of what you need.

I have a degree and a PhD in psychology and have spent more than 20 years working as a user researcher and user experience consultant, in the space where psychology meets technology.

My user research work focuses on understanding people's needs, behaviours, motivations and decision-making.  Coaching felt like a natural progression: a way to bring those same skills into a more personal setting, supporting people as they work through challenges, transitions and questions about what comes next.

In the largely unregulated world of coaching, I made a conscious decision to become a trained professional.  I completed Barefoot’s ICF (International Coaching Federation) certified training course and am committed to ongoing professional development and the ICF code of ethics.

What coaching with me feels like

  • Calm and confidential

  • Non-judgemental

  • Thought-provoking but gentle

  • Practical and grounded in real life

  • A welcoming space that is entirely yours

When you’re looking for this type of support, the relationship between you and your coach matters.  A website can only tell you so much. The best way to get a feel for whether we’d work well together is to book a free introductory call.

I create a space where you can think clearly, speak honestly and leave with a sense of direction and calm.

Who I work with

There isn’t one single type of person I coach.

You may be going through a life transition, whether chosen or unexpected.

You may be trying to work out how to care for others without losing yourself in the process.

You may feel overwhelmed, uncertain or quietly off-balance, with a sense that something needs to change.

The common thread is that I work with people who are in these types of space:

  • Juggling too much and feeling stretched thin

  • Questioning who you are now you’re a parent

  • Facing a change in work, family life or identity

  • Feeling stuck, lost or unsure what your next step is

This is supportive, practical, forward-looking work, focused on where you are now and where you want to be.

Testimonials

Working with Mary has been a really valuable experience. She is a truly attentive and thoughtful listener who creates a structured space where you feel safe to speak openly and supported throughout.

What I appreciated most is that she never imposes answers or advice. Instead, she asks the right questions and helps you reflect on your own thoughts and patterns, allowing you to find your own insights and solutions. This approach encourages self-discovery and makes progress feel both tangible and lasting.

Each session is insightful, and I’ve come away with more perspective and a clearer sense of direction. I would definitely recommend Mary to anyone looking for thoughtful, grounded support.

— Cécile

Mary has helped me unlock clarity, created a space where I could reflect honestly, explore new perspectives, and build practical strategies for the future. I’ve gained confidence and I’m genuinely grateful for the support and insight I’ve received. I would highly recommend her coaching.

— Emma

In our conversations I felt listened to without judgement. I’ve shared things I'd avoided talking about because it's often hard to explain without feeling misunderstood. With Mary, I found it easy to be honest and open, so we could have a deeper conversation. Her ability to listen and create a safe, thoughtful space made a real difference.
